Job Title: Paramedic Profession: Paramedic Specialty: Emergency Services Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2+ years License: Iowa or National Paramedic Certification Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS Must-Have: - 2+ years of experience - Prehospital experience Description: No driving involved. The EMT employee will need to drive the ambulance. Candidates must be 60 miles or greater to be considered for travel. MUST have an Iowa background check to clear (Criminal and Child Abuse portions required). All background checks (counties and states) must be fully cleared prior to start. Instant or statewide searches are not accepted. Mandatory reporter certification is required (Child and Adult). A drug test must be a 10-panel screening including opiates. Titers must be within the last 12 months (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB). Will allow Monday or Tuesday starts. Assist in the Emergency Department as needed. The facility has a small number of beds and operates a limited number of ambulances. The patient population includes all ages. The ideal candidate is a team player and focused on patient care. A uniform top will be provided; black or blue pants and black shoes or boots are required. No unacceptable attire is permitted.
