Cost Accountant (Remote, must be Tampa-based)

A fast-growing company is looking for a Cost Accountant to join their team. This is a remote role for candidates based in the Tampa, FL area.

Responsibilities:

\n
• Supporting inventory and cost-related month-end and quarter-end close, including subledger-to-GL reconciliation, and identification and application of inventory adjustments
\n
• Preparing GAAP-compliant journal entries and audit documentation
\n
• Keeping inventory records accurate and reconciled across multiple tracking platforms
\n
• Handling transaction processing
\n
• Partnering cross-functionally with other departments to track down and resolve discrepancies
\n
• Helping build out stronger inventory controls and reporting processes
\n

What we're looking for:

\n
• A strong foundation in cost accounting and inventory accounting, including how inventory moves from WIP to finished goods
\n
• Acquisition integration experience strongly preferred
\n
• 2–5++ years of relevant accounting/finance experience (a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field a plus)
\n
• Process-improvement mindset and proven history of implementing process improvements
\n
• Solid grasp of GAAP
\n
• Excel proficiency with formulas
\n
• Someone detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and genuinely curious
\n
